Over the years we have been delighted
to welcome many visitors who enjoy painting - and some have even given us
paintings of Le Moulin Verneau. This was painted in September 2008 by
Alec Pearson
the well known North Yorkshire Artist. For more information about Alec's
paintings click on his name to access his website.
Alec was also the Resident Artist for the magazine
'Northern Life' and in the
December/January 09 edition of this magazine there was a three page
'French Sketch Book' which included drawings of Paris, Tours, Saumur,
Amboise, Chenonceau, Fontevraud - and Parçay-les-Pins!

There is a 'Comments Book' in each gite and
we hope that our visitors will volunteer to share their experiences and pass on
recommendations.

Second stay as good as first, if not better

Chenonceau - great chateau but busy - arrive early! Pool great to look
forward to at the end of the day. Many thanks for a great holiday and even

Younger artists have also been inspired by the surroundings. This picture of th e
flower garden outside her gîte was painted by Laura,
in July 2008.
Her parents emailed us the copy and added
'thanks for your hospitality. We had a lovely week'.

We really enjoyed our stay in 'Les Chardonnerets',
a well-equipped gite, nice and very comfortable. It has been a great place to
relax and ... we loved the swimming pool.

We had a fantastic time staying at your gite, ...
straight away it felt like home and we didn't want to leave! Everything was very
well thought out, we found it incredibly easy to find and it had great access to
the vineyards.

Best Chateau we visited was at Villandry -
beautiful gardens also. Prettiest village Langeais. Lovely lunch on boat at
Montsoreau.
