Our on-site Boulodrome (or petanque pitch, see photo left) was completed in 2006. Sets of boules may be borrowed from the Laundry.

Walking Track at the side of Le Moulin VerneauThe gently undulating land surrounding Le Moulin Verneau, quiet roads and network of tracks combine to provide pleasant short local walks and it is possible to walk to the village, Parçay-les-Pins (c. 4.5km) in 40 minutes 

There are also Nature and Heritage Trails in the region and the guide 'Balades et découvertes', a selection of 10 'Discovery Trails' from 3 to 21 km is on sale at the Tourist Information Centres and good bookshops, with a version in English. Copies of these walks can also be down loaded from the website saumur-rando.com - or you may borrow our copy during your stay here.

Tennis There are tennis courts for hire in the region, for example at the camp site in Vernantes, at the lake of Rillé and at Gizeux.

 

PARÇAY-LES-PINS 

Parçay-les-Pins

Le Moulin Verneau is close to the attractive village of Parçay-les-Pins (approx. 4.5km) with its bar/restaurant 'Chez Jules', baker's, general store, Post Office and Town Hall.

The village also houses the Museum of Jules Desbois, the sculptor.

Le Mans 24 Hours

Le Moulin Verneau is a good base from which to enjoy this race and/or the Classic Cars as Le Mans is less than an hour's drive away along quiet, direct country lanes.
